Brit Awards 2013

Hosted by James Cordon the awards were good although I did expect to be laughing at jokes rather than the blueness of Robbie Williams’s ‘suit’. If you can really call it that.

Punctuated with performances by Justin Timberlake, Muse, Taylor Swift, One Direction, Robbie Williams, Ben Howard, Mumford and Sons and Emeli Sandé -the night was a success. Although, the same can’t be said for Ben Howard’s speeches. Stick to singing mate.

Simon Cowell was called a ‘beautiful bastard’ by James and Harry’s ‘magic stick’ got a shout-out from Sharon Osborne (who clarified that she was using a euphemism to refer to his ‘willy’). Great.

That’s a summary of the Brits 2013. Not bad. Not great. The biggest disappointment for me was seeing Plan B looking gutted as he was overlooked for awards. Don’t worry I still love you…

Here’s a list of the winners:

Best British single – Adele for Skyfall.

  1. Thanks for the post, at least I’m learning about some celebrities, whom I never heard of.Simon Cowell, however the former American Idol judge is someone I didn’t have any time for.His criticism was quite harsh and I thought, this doesn’t help the contestants. He is very negative.I think he came down to earth when Susan Boyle wowed him.

    • Simon Cowell is harsh but when you own half the industry, you can afford to be. It doesn’t make it right, though. You’re right about Susan Boyle, sometimes people need to be shocked 🙂 Thanks for taking time to read my blog x
