The prompt today was:
“Describe your relationship with your phone. Is it your lifeline, a buzzing nuisance, or something in between?”
Some describe their phone their best friend, others claim it is a lifesaver and their most treasured item. My phone is far from any of those statements. Buster (Yes, I named my phone) is third hand and built like a brick. In fact, it would probably do more harm than a brick. It does everything I need it to though – it calls and sometimes texts. Luckily for me, the phone has often tried to save my life. More than once it has tried to call the police even when I’m not in danger. My sister maintains that it’s less reliable as a phone and would do much better as a self-defence weapon. Buster was named after he flew out of my hand and hit me in the face and like I said he does more damage than a brick. It doesn’t fit in my pocket, it weighs fifty pounds and a section of the screen has died so I often have to guess what people have said in the last part of their text.
It is neither my lifeline nor a buzzing nuisance considering it can’t even manage a simple phone call.
WE CALLED EACH OTHER ALL SUMMER « hastywords
Poor Buster, always getting a bad rap, when it’s just trying to be the best phone it knows how to be…
I feel a little bit judgmental now. You’re right, I’ll apologise 😀 pahaha
